Topics: basic principles of haircutting, proper use of haircutting tools, proper posture and body positioning for occupational health, safety practices in haircutting, use of clippers, trimmers, shavers, and razor blades.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this module, the student will be able to:
Identify the core tools used to complete a clipper fade, including their function and basic care.
Read a fade zone diagram and explain the difference between a low, mid, and high fade.
Select an appropriate guard length for each zone of a fade using a standard guard chart.
Perform a basic taper fade from start to finish, following an industry-standard sequence.
Apply correct sanitation and safety practices throughout the service.
